Brief Bio

Rachel Myers, PhD, MS is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, as well as a Research Scientist with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Center for Injury Research and Prevention and the Center for Violence Prevention (CVP). Currently, she serves as the Co-Director of CVP’s Community Violence and Trauma Support programs, including CHOP’s Violence Intervention Program, a hospital-based violence intervention program providing community-focused recovery support for violently injured youth and their families. In that role, she oversees the development and implementation of the Violence Intervention Program’s data collection, program evaluation, and research efforts. She is also actively engaged in several community-based participatory research partnerships to support development, implementation, and evaluation of community-focused violence prevention programs.
